Before ordering CATIA student version, you must obtain a target ID. You will have to enter this target ID during the purchase process. It will be used to generate a non-transferable CATIA student version license for you.
Important: The target ID will be a number unique to your computer. Therefore, make sure that you download and run the target ID program on the same computer that you will be installing CATIA student version on. |

**Note: Please be aware that CATIA is not supported on the new Windows VISTA platform and will not function correctly.

Click the link below to download the tool needed to obtain a target ID.

When prompted to either Open this file from its current location or Save this file to disk, select Save this file to disk.

Select a location on your local hard drive, and click Save.

When the downloading is complete, run this program from the location you saved it to.

Your target ID will be presented in a dialog box, as illustrated below. Write this number down.
In this case, the Target ID is: 5482f192

Now you can order your copy of CATIA student version.

1. Enter the target ID you wrote down in the Target ID field of the "Billing, Shipping, and Payment" form.
