License User Management (LUM) Client Installation and Configuration

STEP 1 - Insert the LUM CD into the client/user machine. Install the correct Runtime Software for your OS (arkwin467.exe for Windows). Refer to Step 1 in the LUM Server installation for an illustration. When prompted, choose a custom installation. Select to install only the Communications feature while deselecting the Runtime and Documentation features. Click"Next" and then click "Install" on the next page.

STEP 2 -Once the LUM installation is complete, open the Configuration Tool to configure your Client License. This can be done by navigating to Start > Programs > License Use Runtime > Configuration. Ensure that the Network License Client box is checked while leaving all the other boxes unchecked.

STEP 3 - Click the forward arrow until you reach the Server Configuration section. Now enter the name of the Server computer. This must match the name entered on the Server LUM as well as the name of the computer that the Server LUM is installed on. Ensure that the NetworkLS checkbox is checked while the others are left unchecked. The port numbers should be left unchanged. Exit and save changes.

Your Licence User Management (LUM) Client Installation and Configuration is now complete.

Once you have successfully installed and configured the LUM Server, proceed to the final part of the installation process.
