License User Management (LUM) Server Installation and Configuration

STEP 1 – Insert the LUM CD on the server

STEP 2 - Install the correct Runtime Software for your OS (arkwin467.exe for Windows). When prompted, choose a complete installation.

STEP 3 - Open the "Configuration Tool" to configure your License Server. This can be done by navigating to Start > Programs > License User Runtime > Configuration Tool.  Select Network License Server (NetworkLS) and Central Registry License Server (CrLS) and click the Right arrow.

STEP 4 - In the Server Name field, enter the name of the server machine. This can be found by right-clicking the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and selecting "Properties". Ensure that the NetworkLS and Central Registry LS fields are checked while the NodLS field is left unchecked. Click on the "Add" button. Now exit and save your changes.

STEP 5
(a) Open the Service Management tool (Start > programs > License Use Runtime > Service Management Tool).
(b) Once in the Service Management Tool program, reload configuration (Options > Reload configuration) and then Start the Servers (Service > Start).
(c)
Open the Basic License Tool to install your keys (Start > programs > License Use Runtime > Basic License Tool) and enroll your certificates (Product > Enroll > Multiple Certificates)

Once you have successfully installed and configured the LUM Server, proceed to the second part of the installation process.
